Who We Are

The significance of this endeavor called the LGBT Center of SE Wisconsin is that this community center is a foundational rock for the entire LGBTQI2SA community of southeastern Wisconsin. Homeless, fragile and unemployed people as well as the emotionally hurting and mentally ill come here for culturally competent services, and services such as support groups, clothing, essentials and advocacy. People meet, mingle and socialize during our events and social opportunities. All of our events are open to everyone. Connections are made, businesses network, lasting alliances are formed that help to make every part of our community stronger. We provide education and community support and a sense of belonging. Our efforts affect the causes and consequences of LGBTQI2SA invisibility locally and globally.

What We Do

The LGBT Center of SE Wisconsin's mission is to build a safe, supportive and active community in which Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender identified people, of all ages, their families, friends and allies in Racine, Kenosha, Walworth and the surrounding region can participate in crisis services, informational programming, professional development, social events , and health-related services that promote wellness and positive living. The LGBT Center educates businesses and public institutions throughout southeastern Wisconsin and northern Illinois on the benefits of promoting visibility and value on the positive contributions of LGBT identified people in our diverse community.
