  • Mr. Racine (Mark Eickhorst) Benefit

    The Corporate Volunteer Council of Racine and the Volunteer Center of Racine County, Inc. would like to welcome you to take part in a benefit for Mark Eickhorst “Mr. Racine”.  Mark is in hospice care suffering from lymphoma We want to extend a helping hand into the community with this event; in honor of Mark who is close to our organizations. For a minimum donation of $10 we are offering a mostaccioli dinner and silent auction.  Additional donations will be accepted.   • Gus Macker 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament

    We are in need of volunteer for the Gus Macker tournament.   All volunteers who work 3-4 hours or more will be provided voucher for lunch and free shirt. Volunteer should contact Jason Mars at jason.mars@cityofracine.org or 636-9454.  Or Jeanne Brenner at Jeanne.brenner@cityofracine.org or 636-9416 at Tyler Domer Center.  If you would like to help in any of these activities: Scorekeepers,  Saturday and Sunday July 15th and 16th  two shifts             8:00 am – 12:30 p.m.  and 12:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. ( there are 16 courts and looking for a scorekeeper at each court.)  Set up/Take Down    Thursday,  July 13th 8:00am – 12:00p.m  &   12:00p.m – 4:00p.m  (Setting up tables, chairs, pop up tents, basketball hoops, etc.)  Volunteers should be able to lift, bend crouch etc  Take down Sunday,  July  16th  3:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. Garbage pick-up  Saturday July 15th and Sunday July 16th                                                     10:00 – 1:00                                                 2:00 – 5:00                                                 6:00 – 9:00

  • Kenosha Kingfish Game July 15th Join the Volunteer Center

     Kenosha Kingfish - Join the Volunteer Center of Racine County, Inc. for a fun filled night of baseball.  For $15 you get a Kingfish hat, Stadium box seat on the third base line and eveningfireworks.  Tickets must be purchased in advance at the Volunteer Center.   Tickets are available now! Great family event.  Details click here.

  • Volunteer Vision Screener Training

    Become a certified children's vision screener with Prevent Blindness Wiscnsin! This training will allow you to volunteer as a children's vision screener in Racine County and is valid for three years. At this training, you will learn why vision screening is an important public health component, how to properly administer vision screenings, and how to volunteer as a vision screener in Racine County.You must RSVP to attend this training.   • Great Pumpkin Chuckin Festival

    This 2-day event will feature Pumpkin Chuckin Competitions, where teams will catapult pumpkins as far as the eye can see! Raymond Middle School holds the record for the Junior Division with 229 ft., Waterford High School holds the record for the Intermediate Division with 317 ft., and Trinity Lutheran holds the record for the Advanced Division with 476 ft. This 2-day event will feature Pumpkin Chuckin Competitions, where teams will catapult pumpkins as far as the eye can see! Raymond Middle School holds the record for the Junior Division with 229 ft., Waterford High School holds the record for the Intermediate Division with 317 ft., and Trinity Lutheran holds the record for the Advanced Division with 476 ft. The event also includes a KCBS Sanctioned BBQ contest. Last year over 50 teams competed to win over $7000 in cash and prizes.  More Exciting Events Taking Place at the Great Pumpkin Chuckin Fest Multiple Stage Performances by the Racine Zoo, Food, Vendors, Seasonal Beers, Free Kids Games and Activities, Carnival and Hay Rides, Pumpkin Baking Contests, Costume Contest and so much more! Fun for all ages!
