Description
The Veteran's campus provides a wide variety of volunteer opportunities in the areas of one-to-one visits; arts and crafts; outings; cards and games; in-house-transport by wheelchair to activities; music; woodworking and a broad variety of other events. In addition, we can provide unpaid internships for Social Workers; Activity Therapists; Artists; Musicians, etc. Our veterans enjoy the comaraderie provided by the above listed opportunities. It is a humbling experience to witness their on-going independence and gratitude. Volunteers must fill out registration forms, including a background check and have a brief general orientation, with a more specific orientation based upon the activity or internship that the volunteer has expressed an interest in.
