Peace Learning Circles (PLC) is seeking Booster Facilitators for the 2014-2015 school year. The Booster Facilitator presents three follow-up "boosters" to a class after their participation in the Peacemakers Workshop. Each booster is about one hour and presented 2-3 weeks apart in the classroom. The boosters consists of a review of the skills that were taught in the workshop. Additional skills are also taught through fun activities and lessons. Prior teaching experience is not needed. A short training and a background check is required. Since Booster Facilitators need to review the workshop curriculum with the students, they must assist at a minimum of two workshops and observe each booster prior to their presenting a booster to the students. We are looking for dependable people with a heart for peace and hope for the future of our children. All staff and facilitators need to be patient and comfortable with children, redirecting them when necessary. PLC staff are mentors and positive role models for the behavior and skills we teach.
