The Border War 5K Run/Walk is a friendly battle between Illinois and Wisconsin Runners/Walkers to see which state has the best average 5K time for runners and walkers. Besides individual awards, the times of all the athletes will be averaged to find our winner - between Wisconsin and Illinois - giving the state bragging rights.
This finish-line banner will display the winning state each year and be present at all of the future Border War 5K races, beckoning its adversaries to reverse the winning streak each year.
