Do you have a passion to help? Are you empathetic?
Here at BeLEAF Survivors, Inc. you answer a 24-hour crisis line via a provided mobile phone for victims of sexual assault, as well as respond to the hospital when a victim presents for a forensic exam. You would provide crisis intervention, emotional support, and referrals. Qualities we look for to be a good fit for our program are being a good listener, empathetic, nonjudgmental and supportive. You must be 18 years old and have access to a car or reliable transportation to respond to the hospital calls.

- Monday - June 7th, 5:30pm - 8:30pm (Module 1)
- Wednesday - June 9th, 5:30pm - 8:30pm (Module 2)
- Monday - June 14th, 5:30pm - 8:30pm (Module 3)
- Wednesday - June 16th, 5:30pm - 8:30pm (Module 4)
- Monday - June 21st, 5:30pm - 8:30pm (Module 5)
The Steps to Becoming a Volunteer with BeLEAF Survivors, Inc.
- Express interest in being a volunteer advocate and reach out
- Do a informal 1-on-1 Interview with the Volunteer & Community Awareness Specialist (Scarlette Kinderman)
- Gain access to our online training platform hosted on Canvas
- Join and complete a in person volunteer training (apx 18 hrs of work, some in class some on your own)
- Fill out paperwork, go through a background check, and reference check
- Do an entrance interview with the Volunteer & Community Awareness Specialist and Program Supervisor
- Success; you are a volunteer!!!!
