The Racine 4th of July Parade Committee, is recruiting additional volunteers this year.. The parade is ranked as the largest in the Midwest and among the top ten in the nation. This year will be especially significant as we celebrate the 250th anniversary of the nation, with the expanded celebration, we will need many more volunteers than in past years.
- Ages 16 and up can volunteer
- 7:00am to 12:00 noon on July 4th
- Duties: help entrants locate designated spots & line up, guide helium balloons, carry banners
- Please provide e-mail, cell # & shirt size (shirts will be provided).
- Sign-up deadline: May 31st
In addition to general parade support, we are also seeking volunteer teams for an expanded feature of additional Macy’s–style helium balloons this year. Each balloon requires approximately 6–12 handlers to guide it safely along the parade route, so organized groups would be especially helpful.
