We are also looking for talented individuals that would be willing to help us the following: publish a website, keep us current on social media channels, create a marketing plan, facilitate an strategic plan, create a fundraising campaign, and assist with basic accounting needs.

What We Do

?The purpose of the Union Grove Area Foodbank is to initiate, conduct, or implement activities or programs intended to assist in the distribution of food to people in emergency need situations. It is not the intention of the Foodbank to provide ongoing assistance where other community programs are already established. We were originally started in January 1982 by Rev Steve Polster of the new Hope Larger Parish and a few concerned citizens who observed a need in the Union Grove area. They were housed in the basement boiler room of St. Robert's Bellarmine Church. It was and continues to be supported by 10 area churches who pledge financial help each year to keep it running. The Foodbank has also been blessed by the support offered by local schools, service organizations, businesses, and individuals to help keep its mission alive. It has hosted 2 annual fundraisers to help with finances that have been running annually for the past 33 years. They are the Spring and Fall annual clothing sales.
