Founded in 1979 Racine Youth Sports has grown to over 3,000 players. Players come from all over Racine County. RYS manages and operates the Haban Sports Complex at Haban Park. The complex contains 12 Baseball fields and 7 Football fields and a full concession stand. For both its Baseball and Football programs additional sites are also utilized. The organization is made up of volunteer coaches and committees that function in concert with the Sports Director who provides overall program management and leadership. RYS also has a volunteer Board of Directors for oversight.
What We Do
The mission of RYS is to provide quality structured youth sports programs that will teach sports fundamentals, good sportsmanship, character, discipline, competitiveness, and teamwork in a positive, caring, safe environment. RYS has playing time rules for each sport so participants will have an equal opportunity to learn and compete. Volunteer coaches will promote the philosophies and principles of sportsmanship and fair play. Created in 1979, 2009 is our 30th year of providing youth sports programs. RYS currently provides Baseball, Football, Girls Volleyball, and Judo programs for over 3,000 participants.
