Who We Are
Hospice Alliance is your community-based, non-profit choice for hospice care and palliative care. We are committed to providing compassionate physical, emotional and spiritual care and educating our patients, those who support them and the communities we serve.
We speak with our patients and their loved ones about “goals” seeking to add more life to days. While our mission, just as it was nearly 40 years ago when a group of local citizens, advocates of the hospice philosophy of care, founded Hospice Alliance, is to help people with life-limiting illness live each day with dignity, comfort and hope.
With a team of hospice professionals, all of whom live in the communities we serve, Hospice Alliance continues to pioneer innovative care, techniques and therapies, which places our organization at the forefront of hospice care providers.
We are proud to be the recipient of both national and local accolades. Most recently, Hospice Alliance was awarded The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval, and in the recent past of back-to-back national Hospice Honors awards including “Hospice Honors” and “Best of Kenosha.” Additionally, Hospice Alliance is a Five Star Member of the We Honor Veterans program.
Additionally, in a recent survey, 100% of our referring physicians rated Hospice Alliance care as "outstanding" or "excellent".
As the #1 choice for hospice and palliative care in this corner of the state, our commitment to you is the best hospice and palliative care.
What We Do
f you ask anyone who has volunteered at Hospice Alliance, they are likely to share with you their story…their story of how they came to volunteer with us (oftentimes after a personal experience with a loved one in our care), their story of a an experience with a patient (often involving a simple pleasure such as Lemon Meringue Pie) or their story of the volunteer camaraderie and friendships they’ve made (such as the group of ladies known as “The Coffee Mates”).
Hospice Alliance has unlimited opportunities to volunteer - ranging from decorating the Hospice House for holidays to sitting with a patient at the end-of-life helping Hospice Alliance to fulfill our mission that no one dies alone (we call this group our Vigil Volunteers)to stuffing envelopes or playing piano at a Service of Remembrance.
When chatting with our Volunteer Coordinator for more information about Volunteer Training, it is likely you’ll hear, “Whatever you like to do, we have a place for you!”
