NAMI Racine County (legal name: Alliance On Mental Illness Of Racine County Inc.)

Who We Are

NAMI Racine County improves the quality of life for those living with mental illness and their families by offering advocacy, education, and support programs at no cost to participants.

We are an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and the local affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness serving our neighbors in Racine County, WI.

What We Do

Since founded in 1979, NAMI Racine County has evolved from a a small group of parents of adults with serious mental illness into a dynamic collaboration of family members, peers, health professionals, providers and advocates. With education, support and advocacy, NAMI Racine County empowers people impacted by a mental illness to successfully manage their mental illness and move toward recovery. In doing this, we improve families hope and create a compassionate community so no one ever feels alone.

NAMI Racine County is reliant on the volunteer efforts of our neighbors, the generosity of donors and funders and receives no federal or state funding. To support our mission outside of volunteering experiences, please consider donating at www.namiracinecounty.org/donate.
