Who We Are

Racine County Food Bank obtains food through donations and purchases then equitably distributes that food to pantries, shelters and meal programs throughout Racine County. Racine County Food Bank formed early in 1983 as Racine County Project Emergency, and at first, offered food, shelter, clothing, and items for other emergency needs. Starting with several cases of donated food and a part-time coordinator, the agency has since grown to face the challenges of recessions and Racine plant closings. Currently, RCFB?s four staff members manage food drives, food collection, and warehousing and distributing of an average of 1 Million pounds of food each year! The Food Bank serves as Racine County?s United Way of Food and distributes directly to food pantries, emergency shelters, community meal sites, and social service agencies throughout Racine County!

What We Do

The Racine County Food Bank is the most efficient, effective organization in the fight against hunger in Racine County.
