VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) is a national program staffed by local volunteers that provides free preparation and electronic filing of tax returns to Racine County residents. This important service supports low- to moderate-income households and relies on volunteers to do its work.
Volunteers are needed as tax preparers, greeters, and bilingual interpreters. Not all volunteer roles require tax certification. No experience necessary. Free virtual, in-person and web-based training provided. Weekday, evening and weekend shifts available at sites throughout Racine.
