Racine Urban Garden Network (RUGN) is hosting a potluck dinner for its gardeners on Friday, Oct. 20 at the Racine Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) Hangar at 3333 North Green Bay Road. We are looking for three to four volunteers for the following tasks:
- Setting out chairs, tables and placing table cloths on the tables
- Cleaning the bar area after the event
- Taking down tables and chairs
- Removing any additional garbage from event
Volunteers for setting up for the event (setting out chairs, tables, etc.) will need to arrive at 4 p.m., and can expect for the set up work to take about 1 hour. Tasks for take-down (taking down tables and chairs, cleaning the bar area) will also take about an hour, and will be from about 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. Volunteers for set up do not necessarily need to be the same who tear down.
Volunteers should be able bodied enough to lift 8-foot tables and set them up and put out folding chairs.
Refreshments will be provided - all volunteers can help them selves to the pot luck!
