We need youth volunteers 11 to 18 for a weeklong cleanup project:
We need knowledgeable adult volunteers to work with youth and supervise activities.
Project: Rock the Block 2023
Description: A youth-led neighborhood restoration project.
Partners: Habitat for Humanity Racine, Lakeside COP House and Volunteer Center of Racine County
Date: July 10th to the 14th
Location: Lakeside neighborhood near Wells Brothers Pizza in Mount Pleasant. Meeting daily at the COP House 2237 Mead Street Mount Pleasant, WI
Need: We need youth volunteers ages 11-18, and skilled adult volunteer supervisors
Hours: 9-2 work period 9 to 12 Lunch 12 to 1 clean up 1to 2
Lunch is included
Activities:
- Laying mulch
- Weeding/hedge trimming
- Laying topsoil
- Planting flowers, bushes and trees
- Painting
- Power washing
- Landscape
- Porch repair
Bring your own work gloves and wear appropriate attire.
