Creature Comforts of Racine County does one hour visits to local senior clubs, assisted living homes, and nursing homes. We have people of all ages, pets of all sizes. We also have other activities that are on going. "Classroom Pet" program. One hour visits in schools. We can join in the July 4th parade in Union Grove, or the Festival of Trees parade in Racine. At Christmas, we have the 4-Legged Santa, where we do one hour mini dog shows. There is the Pedet group that does one hour dog trick shows, once a month in different nursing homes. Also "Doggie Fashion Shows." Four per year, at different nursing home locations. The elderly love kids, so age is not a problem. Under 18 must have an adult with. Volunteers must have control of their pets. All dogs require an obedience certificate from any dog school. A CGC certificate is a great bonus to make the insurance company happy. Pets should enjoy visiting with strangers.
