Our Reality Check Day program is an immersive experience that demonstrates how to implement a budget and how to make tough financial decisions. Many times, families struggle to talk with kids about smart money decisions, and we hope that families who attend Parent Swap Reality Check Day will have a solid foundation to start and continue the conversation about finances,” shared Victor Frasher, Director of Community Engagement at Educators Credit Union.
By combining their efforts, A&S Unlimited and Educators Credit Union aim to broaden the reach and deepen the impact of this community-focused initiative, strengthening financial literacy and decision-making among families in Racine.
This engaging program not only provides a practical educational experience but also integrates fun and learning through real-life simulations. As children take on the roles of adults and vice versa, each family will navigate monthly expenses with the goal of staying within their budget, gaining valuable insights into everyday financial management.
In addition to budgeting exercises, the event will feature stations where families can learn more about local resources and services that can support their financial well-being. This collaborative effort enhances the community's financial literacy resources and brings additional visibility to the beneficial programs offered by both A&S Unlimited and Educators Credit Union.
