Who We Are
With the exception of the Director, the program is 97% run by volunteers. These individuals are the foundation and backbone of our organization. These individuals are generally retired people from our community who want to give back while having fun and making a difference in the lives of others. They interact with our clients by assisting with crafts and games, taking part in conversations, and just being their friend for the day. Other volunteers will lead games and exercises while others will help in the kitchen preparing meals and snacks. Our program would not be possible if it were not for the countless people who dedicate their time every month at Our Harmony Club.
A day at Our Harmony Club consists of up to 6 hours of respite for the caregiver, from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Guests and volunteers enjoy reminiscing about the “old days”, working on crafts, doing puzzles, participating in sing-a-longs, and just simply spending time together! Whether they come as a guest or a volunteer, all who attend benefit from the social, emotional, and physical aspects of our program.
There are currently 4 locations: St. Sebastian’s Church, 3030 95th Street, Sturtevant; St. Richard’s Church, 1503 Grand Ave., Racine; Lord of Life Church, 5601 Washington Rd, Kenosha; St. Joseph’s Church, 608 Water Street, Lyons.

Estos individuos son generalmente personas jubiladas de nuestra comunidad que quieren contribuir con la comunidad mientras se divierte y marca la diferencia en las vidas de otros. Otros voluntarios conducirán juegos y ejercios mientras que otros ayudarán en la cocina a preparar comidas y bocadillos. Nuestro programa no sería posible si no estuviera para las innumerables personas que dedicand su tiempo cada mes en Nuestro Club de Armonía.
Un día en Nuestro Club de Armonía consiste de hasta 6 horas del respiro para el cuidador, hasta las 9:30a a las 3:30p. ¡Los clientes y voluntarios disfrutan recordando los viejos tiempos, trabajando en artesanías, haciendo rompecabezas, cantando y simplemente pasando tiempo juntos! Ya sea que vengan como invitados o voluntarios, todos los que asisten se benefician de los aspectos sociales, emocionales y físicas de nuestro programa.
What We Do
Our Harmony Club Inc. is a local nonprofit organization that caters to the elderly members of our community throughout Racine County that may have received a diagnosis of Parkinson’s or Alzheimer’s, suffered a stroke, or be socially isolated. The program is aimed at providing a safe and stimulating environment for these clients while also providing their caregivers with 6 hours of respite time. We recognize that providing care for a loved one is a stressful job. Respite from providing care is a vital part of the process that allows caregivers time to themselves to complete tasks and return rejuvenated. While at Our Harmony Club, guests enjoy getting together with their peers and benefit from a day away from home in a pleasant and safe environment.
Our Harmony Club Inc. [Nuestro Club de Armonía Inc.] es una organización local sin fines de lucro que atiende a los miembros mayores de nuestra comunidad por todo el condado de Racine que tal vez han recibido un diagnóstico de Parkinson o Alzheimer, han sufrido un accidente cerebrovascular o están aislado socialmente. El programo tiene como objetivo proporcionar un ambiente seguro y estimulante para estos clientes mientras proporcionar sus cuidadores con 6 horas de tiempo de respiro. Reconocemos que proporcionar cuidado para un ser querido es un trabajo estresante. El respiro de proporcionar el cuidado es un parte vital del proceso que permite a los cuidadores el tiempo para completar tareas y volver rejuvenecidos.
