Who We Are
The Eco-Justice Center is an organic farm and environmental education center located on a 15-acre site in north Racine. The property includes historic farm buildings, organic gardens, pasture and forest. Through leadership and education, we work for justice, healing, and right relationships among all Creation. We are a sponsored ministry of the Racine Dominicans founded in 2004.
What We Do
We provide opportunities for volunteers to learn about sustainable living through organic gardening, the use of renewable energy, and conservation of resources. Volunteers help with the following tasks:
- caring for gardens -planting, weeding, mulching, harvesting
- caring for land & historic buildings -painting, repairing, planting trees, trail maintenance
- assisting with programming - school field trips and public programs.
