Who We Are
The DAV donates vans and provides volunteer drivers to transport veterans to and from the VA Medical center for needed medical appointments.
What We Do
The VA Medical Center provides volunteer drivers who ensure veterans have a way to and from VA Medical facilities for needed care. We run two vans out of All Saints Hospital with six stops on the way to the VA Medical Center in Milwaukee. During the 1980's and the present travel benefit cuts left many veterans with no way to get to Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) medical facilities for needed treatment. So DAV and Auxiliary volunteers and other grateful Americans responded, driving veterans to and from VA hospitals and clinics. This was the start of the DAV Transportation Network.
