Who We Are

Extension is a division of the University of Wisconsin - Madison. Extension's mission is to connect people with the University of Wisconsin. Extension’s purpose is to teach, learn, lead and serve, connect people with the University of Wisconsin, and transform lives and communities. We'll strengthen each other through exchanging experience and research statewide. No matter what you're trying to accomplish in Wisconsin, you'll find the support you need as we continue to bring our home state together, community by community.

Extension Racine County is a partnership of Racine County, University of Wisconsin-Madison, the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture, and local partners.

What We Do

Extension provides educational programs by teaming up with agriculture; meeting community challenges; protecting natural resources; strengthening Wisconsin’s families; and supporting young people through our program areas. Resources for families focus on child development, parenting, finance, food safety, food buying, nutrition, and professional development for people working with families. 4-H Youth Development focuses on 4-H clubs and after school programs that teach leadership, life skills and community service. Agriculture and horticulture resources include community gardening, plant and disease diagnosis, lawn care, pesticide use, Master Gardeners, rural land ownership, farm business management / production, Youth for the Quality Care of Animals, and Youth Farm Safety.
