AmeriCorps NCCC North Central Region

AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps (NCCC) strengthens communities and develops leaders though projects designed for direct, team-based service. We are a full-time, team-based residential service program for 18-26 year-olds, where members serve on projects, typically 6-8 weeks in length, to meet community needs in five main service areas: natural and other disasters, energy conservation, environmental stewardship and conservation, infrastructure improvement, and urban and rural development.
AmeriCorps NCCC partners with a variety of nonprofit organizations, federal/state/local governmental agencies, and tribal organizations, who design a project to address an identified need in their community and then we send a team to be the people power behind it by living and serving in that community for typically 6-8 weeks at a time.
