BeLEAF Survivors Sexual Assault Services (SAS) provides a number of short-term and ongoing services to survivors of sexual assault and their support people, including a 24-hour crisis line, 24-hour hospital response, personal advocacy, legal advocacy, counseling, and support groups. We also provide bilingual advocacy services for Spanish-speaking survivors.

BeLEAF Sobrevivientes/Servicios de asalto sexual provee una serie de servicios a corto plazo y continuos a los sobrevivientes del asalto sexual y sus personas de apoyo, incluyendo una línea de crisis las 24 horas, una respuesta hospitalaria las 24 horas, la defensa personal, la defensa legal, la terapia y grupos de apoyo. También proveemos servicios de la defensa bilingüe a los sobrevivientes hispanohablantes. 

BeLEAF’s Stop Child Abuse & Neglect (SCAN) program provides school-based child abuse awareness curriculums to students at your school/s. Lessons are presented to preschool and kindergarten children, and 2nd, 4th and 6th grade students. The information provided is developmentally appropriate and aims to reduce child victimization and the stigma of abuse by teaching children to recognize dangerous and abusive situations, distinguish between safe and unsafe touches, say “no” to unwanted advances, encourage children to tell an adult about such episodes, and assure children that such incidents are never the fault of the child.

Opportunity is for seniors 55+ to volunteer within our  Aurora community.

 The role of Aurora Health Care volunteers is essential now more than ever. Aurora Health Care has volunteer opportunities available for two key roles Main Entrance Ambassador and a Tour Guide.

The duties of the Main Entrance Ambassador include; proactively greeting patients and visitors as they enter the facility, asking how they can assist patients/visitors and offer to escort the guest to where they need to go, offering wheelchair assistance, and properly operating the wheelchair and push the guest to the destination, etc.  The duties of the Tour Guide include; greeting people in the tour group and Tmaking them feel comfortable.  Explain to them that they can ask questions at any time, walk the campus while informing guests on what they are observing/where different departments are located, where information signs are located, and answer questions when appropriate, hand out information material such as a written tour guide, campus map, etc.

The duties of the Main Entrance Ambassador include; proactively greeting patients and visitors as they enter the facility, asking how they can assist patients/visitors and offer to escort the guest to where they need to go, offering wheelchair assistance, and properly operating the wheelchair and push the guest to the destination, etc.  The duties of the Tour Guide include; greeting people in the tour group and Tmaking them feel comfortable.  Explain to them that they can ask questions at any time, walk the campus while informing guests on what they are observing/where different departments are located, where information signs are located, and answer questions when appropriate, hand out information material such as a written tour guide, campus map, etc.

AmeriCorps Seniors: provides senior citizens a pathway to community service.  AmeriCorps Seniors is one of 19 RSVP projects in Wisconsin and 600 nationally under a grant from the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS).

AmeriCorps Senior volunteers choose how and when they serve. Open to seniors 55 and over, volunteer opportunities are wide and varied.  AmeriCorps Seniors volunteers receive a pre-service orientation, on-the-job training and are eligible for complimentary supplemental accident and automobile and volunteer liability insurance.  Mileage reimbursement of $0.585/mile is available for volunteers in Focus Area projects, i.e. Meals on Wheels, MyRIDE, and BeLEAF survivors volunteer drivers.
