Opportunities From: Volunteer Center of Racine County, Inc.

The Racine Interfaith Coalition is seeking community members with gifts and experience in non-profit fund development to help our organization create an annual fund development plan for 2011 and accomplish specific objectives toward reducing grant dependence and securing the long-term financial stability of the organization. We are currently forming a new board committee on fund development to implement the action plan that resulted from our recent strategic planning process. The job description of the committee is clear, and action steps have been identified through December 2011. We anticipate that the Fund Development Committee will meet monthly. We welcome volunteers with grassroots/non-profit fundraising experience or interest, who would be eager to assist us in fulfilling our mission.

The Racine Interfaith Coalition is seeking community members with experience and skills in marketing and communications to help promote positive name recognition for our organization; enhance the visibility of the organization; define a unified public image; and communicate effectively with the various constituencies of the organization. We are currently forming a new board committee for communications and marketing to implement the annual marketing plan that resulted from our recent strategic planning process. The job description of the committee is clear, and action steps have been identified through December 2011. We anticipate that the Communications and Marketing Committee will meet monthly. We welcome volunteers with communications gifts and marketing interest, who would be eager to assist us in fulfilling our mission.
