Whether you are giving your time because our programs have helped you or a loved one or you are passionate about mental health, you can make a difference.

Events
Volunteer for a shift at an upcoming resource fair, fundraising, or community event. Must be dependable.


Office Help
Assist with administrative tasks like mailings, assembling program binders, or preparing materials for an event.

Youth Mental Health Presenter: NAMI Ending the Silence Youth Presenter
Must be between 18-35 and live with a mental health condition. Individual should be comfortable sharing their story of recovery with youth groups. Stipend available. Presentations run September - May.

Youth Mental Health Presenter: NAMI Ending the Silence Youth Presenter
Must have lived experience as a person with a mental health condition or a loved one. Individual should be comfortable sharing their story with youth groups and using PowerPoint. Stipend available. Presentations run September - May.

Support Group Facilitator - Peer Support
Must have lived experience as a person with a mental health condition and be in a stable place. Individual should have attended Peer Support Group previously. Training required. Support groups meet twice a month.

Mental Health 8-Week Education Class Facilitator: NAMI Peero-to-Peer
Individual must be over 18, live with a mental health condition, and be at a stable place. Facilitator must have attended NAMI Peer-to-Peer previously. Training required. Please commit to at least one 8-week course.

   

 

Youth Mental Health Presenter: NAMI Ending the Silence - Lead Presenter
Must have lived experience as a person with a mental health condition or a loved one. Individual should be comfortable sharing their story with youth groups and using PowerPoint. Stipend available. Presentations run September - May.

Must have lived experience as a family member or close friend of a person with a mental health condition and be in a stable place. Individual should have attended Family Support Group previously. Training required. Support groups meet twice a month.

Individual must have an adult family member or loved one who lives with a mental health condition. Facilitator must have attended NAMI Family-to-Family previously. Training required. Please commit to at least one 8-week course.

Mental Health 6-Week Parent Education Class Facilitator: NAMI Basics
Individual must be the parent or caregiver of a child (aged 22 or younger) with a mental health condition. Facilitator must have attended NAMI Basics previously. Training required. Please commit to at least one 6-week course.

Mental Health Presenter: The Family Experience
Share your story of being a loved one of a person with a mental health condition in this 75-minute presentation. Flexible schedule. Training required.

We would love to see people who are directly impacted by mental illness (both peers and family members), people with professional financial experience, persons of color, local business leaders, and those with a law enforcement background apply. Monthly attendance at board meetings and committee participation required. All applications will be considered.

Applications due by March 15th for consideration in May elections.
