  • Crop Walk

This year’s 37th annual CROP Walk for world hunger will be held on Sunday, October 23, 2016. The CROP Walk is sponsored by Church World Service, which works globally to assist hungry people and those who have suffered through disasters.  CROP Walkers will be able to locally assist Racine County Food Bank with 25% of the funds raised, and 75% to world hunger and other disasters.    If you are a leader of a youth volunteer group (scouts, Catechism class, key clubs, etc.) This is an opportunity to rally towards a universal cause: Hunger. Registration for CROP Walk begins at 12 noon at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 614 Main Street.  The Walk begins promptly at 12:45 p.m.  Anyone can participate in this great family event and is a direct way for each of us to assist our fellow citizens in Racine and around the world.   If you are unable to walk, you can still join with CROP Walkers by being a sponsor.  Sign up through churches or the Volunteer Center of Racine County.  All donations are tax deductible.  Any questions, please call the Volunteer Center at 262-886-9612.
